Moses Washington Speaks About His Opportunity of a Lifetime

I interviewed Moses Washington, a contestant on Spike TV's upcoming new show "4th and Long" with Michael Irvin.

This defensive back always dreamed of playing football since he first played at 8-years-old and this was his opportunity of a lifetime

After speaking with Washington, I can't wait to watch his journey through the show which premieres on May 18th.

What makes you different from every other defensive back? What are your strengths?

What makes me different then all the other defensive back is I feel I have natural raw talent. A lot of the guys on the show just played football. I double sported in college and ended my college career running track. So I never got a opportunity to reach my full potential in football. I felt they have. Being that they played all there years in college.
Do you think your age is a factor? Do you think it hinders you or helps you?

Only thing that hinders me Is what I believe that I cant do. The Other factors what people say I can't control.
What did you learn from your time on the show?

What I learn about the show is that obstacles are fighting things you see when you take your eyes off your vision. There was so many things they tried to do to make you believe that you couldn't do to finish the competition. But understanding that, I found that my true strength resides in my mind .

What are your goals for the future?

To use this experience to inspire others and to serve the needs of people and my community.

Any advice for guys who dream of having the chance you were recently given?

Yea… There is no use trying to use your situation as an excuse not to try new things. The saddest summary of life is sum up in three phrases… Would have could have but didn’t… If you try you never fail. You just found another way that doesn’t work.

The I Love Money 2 Winner is . . .

The season finale of "I love money 2" aired tonight on Vh1

The final five contestants - Tailor Made and It from "I Love New York 2", Prancer and Myammee from "Flavor of love 3" and Saaphyri from "Flavor of love 2" - competed for the $250,000 prize.

This time the dead last loser - Saaphyri - was automatically eliminated. Her check was bounced bringing it down to the final four.

Honestly with Myammee as the paymaster - Saaphyri would have went home anyway.

So at this point, Myammee would be an idiot not to send Prancer home.

Clearly Prancer is the strongest person other than her. If you want to win - you eliminate the actual competition.

So to say the least, I wasn't surprised when Prancer's check was voided.

And then there were three - Myammee, Tailor Made and It.

Just a side note - is It really that retarded or is he all an act? For a second there I really believed it was all an act. But nope ha ha - It really is that stupid. So now it was really down to the final two.

By this point I wasn't a fan of anyone. However, I was very happy Tailor Made didn't win.

I hope every season doesn't end the exact same - with the winner being another strong woman who dated Flavor Flav.

Love Tough Love

The season finale of the first season of "Tough Love" aired last night.

The great thing about this Vh1 show is there is a woman on the show for every girl to relate to.

I personally most relate to Jessa's situation. Steve Ward said she changes who she is for every guy she meets and she has control issues. It is like Steve diagnosed me.

While watching the show and not personally experiencing it - you can still learn all the lessons to help in your life.

These women were all so different and through boot camp they bonded and you feel like you've bonded with them from watching their personal life unfold on the television.

I thought this show was brilliant and honestly I think I like this show more than "Millionaire Matchmaker" on Bravo. This guy is hot and I would much rather stare at him than Patti - no offense girl.

If anyone knows someone unlucky in love they should go to this website to sign up for the next season of Tough Love.

I prefer to be the viewer and learn from their mistakes and not broadcast mine but if you are braver than me - you should totally do it.

From Rock of Love to Daisy of Love

Daisy De La Hoya, the “Rock of Love 2” runner-up is the star of this new show.

Seriously they'll give anyone a show these days. New York was living proof of that and now they have "Daisy of Love".

She claims she's looking for a boyfriend - cough bullsh*t cough – more like looking for a music career. Her little performance was semi pathetic.

Wait a second - is Brett Michaels her boss now? Is he making a profit off her?

Oh wait here comes 20 men plus Riki Rachtman, the dean from Charm School and Rock of Love reunion host.

Ha ha wait maybe this guy is the one making the money off her – he felt bad cause she got beat up real bad by Heather on the Rock of Love 2 Reunion episode.

These shows are all about promoting yourself and your talents but I got to hand it to them, it keeps me entertained.

Okay lets talk about Daisy for a second - all that plastic surgery not good.

All the looking back is like looking at a before and after but she gets fatter instead of skinnier so it's like instead of a good diet commercial – a good way for girls to get heavier aka uglier is to have your heart broken by a rock star (who is grotesquely old). Sorry Daisy for that burn - she is still pretty though if you don't mind the plastic surgery.

Daisy is not the only one here to promote herself.

Hello 12-pack. What is he doing here?

He claims he is here for a chance with daisy but this repeat reality TV star has a not so trustworthy past.

Then there's the Triplets - at first I thought they were girls ha ha. They are a band called "Snake of Eden" from Sweden. They were like struggling artists the way they were attacking the fridge.

Why were they eating cold hot dogs? I think they thought they were sausages because they dipped them in tomato sauce. Gross!

They reminded me of Frenchie - a star from two of vh1's reality television shows - with the bleach blond hair and all the captions but there's three lol and they want an orgy?

Then there was the Brett Michael's look-a-like. Clearly she is not going to chose the Brett Michael's B-team when she's already had the A-team.

Okay so in the first episode it's tradition to do the nicknames - first up NUTS oh wait FLIPPER (anyone else seeing a theme hear?). Just had to mention that.

This show will be entertaining enough for me to keep watching so we'll see how these tool academy loser's do with the fight for Daisy's heart.

Comedy via Celebrity Apprentice

Tonight's Celebrity Apprentice was so funny.

Dramatic of course, because 3 people got fired and we are now down to the final two. But absolutely HILARIOUS - celebrity apprentice has never been so comical.

On a side note, Brande Roderick was much smarter than everyone was giving her credit for. I am really upset that she was semi-portrayed as a dumb blond. It's not her fault she's pretty and she was so funny with her "dumb brunette" comment. Seriously though, hair color has nothing to do with your brain. Bottom line i thought she was hilarious.

This episode was truly entertaining. Brande with her singing ha ha - it's okay I think I'm tone deaf too girl.

Joan Rivers cracks me up man - "Quack Quack Splash" ha ha. She had so many funny ideas for Clint and she's just always on - its great.

So, when Brande gets fired it got down to the final three. The hilarious Joan Rivers, and then these two . . .

Jesse James, married to Sandra Bullock "one of the most desirable women" and "one of the biggest movie stars" as said on tonight's show by Donald trump.

and

Annie, the best female poker player in the world whose kind of the devil - i wouldn't say Hitler (Joan ha ha) but she's devilish. She came onto the show so nice and then slowly got scarier and more devilish each episode.

At this point, it's clearly obvious that Jessy James will be fired next because it will get more ratings and be much more entertaining when its down to the rivals.

And what do you know - Annie Duke and Joan Rivers are the final two. This should be good mwahahahaha (scary laugh?)

The Opportunity of a Lifetime . . . Literally

The Hall of Fame receiver Michael Irvin is launching a reality television show in which 12 finalists compete to become the Dallas Cowboys' 80th and last roster member when training camp opens on July 31.

Beginning May 18, the all-new-original series "Fourth and Long" - taped at the Cotton Bowl - will be presented in episodes airing on Monday's on Spike TV over a period of 10 weeks.

Ranging from 22-years old to 30-years-old, six defensive backs and six wide receivers will be battling it out for the opportunity of a lifetime.

This show is the football version of "American Idol". I expect it to be just as good but with more action.

I don't know a lot about football but this trailer leads me to believe its intense - and intense keeps me interested.

Who doesn't want to see an underdog succeed? or a nobody become somebody? I do!

Crushing on Cupid

There is something about Greek mythology that I can't get enough of.  I love the approach this ABC show took using Greek mythology.

A HOT main male character as "Cupid" plus many more attractive characters equals a key trait for a highly successful show.

He is the god of love sent to earth to bring 100 couples together but no body believes him. Don't worry Trevor - I believe you.

Matchmaking and television have clearly become a popular team. This show is different because it's not a reality show like Bravo's "Millionaire Matchmaker" and Vh1's "Tough Love" but you never know if he will make a match or not on each episode.

This story line is original and intriguing while it still succeeds in having a hint of fact behind it with the Greek mythology.

I hope that Trevor and Claire eventually end up together and she becomes Cupid's wife as they hinted too recently in an episode.

I love the idea of that working out but I am that hopeless romantic that always roots for the 'happily ever after' ending.

This show could go on for a million season's and I would love it. Here's to hoping.

Grey's Anatomy - The Second Wedding

As the second wedding on Grey's Anatomy quickly approaches, this website about the fictional wedding of Meredith and Derek got 1400 RSVP's in the first 24 hours.

This was a brilliant idea, a little weird but brilliant. They ask you to donate money to charities in lieu of gifts. Not only does this site promote the show, it is also philanthropic.

We all know how the first Grey's wedding turned out. Poor Cristina got ditched by Burke (but we also all know that the real reason for that was real life words between the actors who play george and burke) anyways - that wedding did not have a happy ending.

We have seen everything Mere and Dere have gone through and we've been with them through their whole relationship. Obviously we want 'happily ever after' for them, right?

I don't know about you, but I want this wedding to be a success. Knowing Grey's Anatomy - it can go either way.

In a few days we will know when the wedding happens on the 100th episode. Can't wait!

Answer THE PHONE at Your Own Risk

"The Phone" is a new exciting show that premiered on MTV tonight.

It's like you are in a Shila Labeouf movie or playing a real life video game.

It's a crazy show where two strangers have to work together to team up against two other strangers.

They have to complete insane tasks given over the phone in order to win a sum of money.

The teams believe that they are winning the money as a team but the twist is in the end, one teammate gets to decide if they would like to keep all the money or share it with their partner in crime (who keep in mind was a stranger before this experience).

I think this show keeps you on the edge of your seat. Since my biggest fear is insects and I do not see them thus far on the show, I would complete any task thrown at me so I am going to apply for the show.

If you want to be in your own real life action movie go to facebook.com/thephone and sign up - you never know, you never know what they could have you do next.

The Dirty Duel

MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenges are back and better than ever.

This is the first season where I have truly felt like it is any body's game.

The "Duel 2" - one of the richest challenges in history - is hosted by the hot TJ Lavin as usual and has 26 cast members.

In the first episode, CT and Adam got into a physical confrontation and had to leave the show before the first competition even went down.

As a result of CT and Adam's stupidity - MJ and Nehemiah got lucky and took their places in the competition.

This show is truly genius. You cannot go wrong with HOT people confined to a house with a lot of alcohol.

This show is full of drama, betrayal, "friendships" aka alliances, physical and verbal confrontation, hook-ups (both straight and not) plus mental and physical challenges.

After watching Paula get stabbed in the back on the last duel, I thought she would lay low on this one.

Instead she decides to make herself a target but then somehow the bulls-eye ended up on Evan's forehead.

I love Evan - he is so funny and it's not fun watching people hate on him.

I hope he can just keep beating people in the duel until people realize calling him in is suicide.

Don't worry Evan - I'm rooting for you!

Harper's Island

Harper's Island premiered tonight on CBS

The series is about a wedding party on an isolated island whose members are killed off one by one.

They didn't waste anytime - the first character was killed off only seven minutes into the show.

It's a twist on Clue with the mystery of deaths. It's like watching a scary movie piece by piece.

It is something new, that I haven't seen before.

It has extremely hot actors plus love, mystery, fear, happiness, money, friendship, betrayal, relationships, family - basically it has everything needed for a great show.

As great a show as it is, the bad part about a show like this is soon enough it will be over.

Realistically as people quickly die off - the show must die off as well.

Upsetting I know but as a viewer, knowing there will be answers in the end keeps me watching.

The story line is really thorough and turning a wedding into a murder - two opposite things do attract.

If you love scary movies - you will love this show. Trust me.

From OC to Southland

I am sure you all remember drooling over Ryan Atwood in "The OC" - played by Benjamin McKenzie.

As a teenager - I thought he was dreamy to say the least. He was that bad boy you can't help but crush on.

Now this bad boy is playing Ben Sherman, a new police officer being trained to protect and serve the city, in the new NBC show "Southland".

It's not the bad boy act - but you got to love a man in uniform.

First the producer of ER gave you insight into the life of an emergency room attendant and now they are taking you behind the badge. Should be interesting.

Personally, I am going to watch this show just to see Ben. Humanahumana.

Unusual new show - The Unusuals

This new ABC show is witty and just plain unusual.

I'm not sure if I quite get the story line of "The Unusuals" yet.

I wouldn't call it brilliant but its a pretty good show. I would say it has it's moments.

This police drama, set in New York City, is about the homicide department. It's a quirky show with a lot of zany detectives.

What bugs me about this show is that it so unusual that it does not appear to have much truth or fact behind it.

While I love Lost which i could describe the same way, it's different because when you have a setting like a police department - you have an actual opportunity to have some truth and fact.

Personally, I do not think this show will last very long but it's entertaining enough for me to keep watching so you never know.

Welcome to ABCastle

Castle is a new show on ABC and so far a GREAT show.

What I look for in a new show is simple - something new.

This show is about a murder novelist, Castle, who starts solving real murders with detectives - which is something I haven't seen before.

The show has so many aspects - it's scary and has mystery, it's funny and intriguing - there's great chemistry and a new dynamic I have not seen thus far in a show.

It's like CSI Miami (which I love) but it's better. The murders are so original. Not only does it have the aspect of solving murders but it has a great story line of characters.

This show is going to be big - I can feel it.

GREEK Returns

GREEK is back with it's second season.

With good guys and bad guys, scandals and relationships - there is nothing this show does not have.

I am a huge fan obviously but I do have one problem with this show. It's grip on reality and they way it portrays greek life is not exactly accurate.

As a member of a sorority I can speak from first hand experience when I say - GREEK on ABC Family is not an honest portrayl of greek life in college. While the struggles they face through college are certainly accurate, the way the greek life system works was not.

I spoke with a member of a sorority on University of Massacusetts campus about the show.

"I personally love the show, me and my sisters watch it together every week but our nationals did not feel as comfortable with the show. I know for a fact that my sororities nationals along with a few others wrote letters and went out of their way to try and get GREEK cancelled. They thought it was giving greek life a bad rep," said Rebecca Goldberg.

Thankfully, her sorority and the others were unsuccessful. Television always has some truth from it but everyone knows it is television and ultimately fiction - so the shows mean no harm and therefore should not be taken so seriously.

Take it with a grain of salt and don't judge what you are not a part of.

With hot guys and girls, GREEK is back and hopefully here to stay a while.

ER's Big Goodbye

"ER" came to an end after 15-years on NBC Thursday night.

The best way to end a show is the go back to the beginning which I think the writers of ER successfully accomplished.

In the last season, character's from the past began to reappear. From George Clooney to Noah Wyle - all of the shows most famous characters came back for their final moments in Chicago's County General.

With heart-throbs like John Stamos, who played Jesse Katsopolis in Full House, this show was a clear success.

It's always hard to see a show end - to say goodbye to people you've been able to count on for 15-years. But the end of one shows time in the spotlight means the beginning of anothers opportunity.

While Grey's Anatomy is no ER - its got some of the key ingredients for a successful show and I believe Grey's is as close as television will ever get to another ER.

In my opinion, the test of a truly great show is if it can impact someones life. I believe ER is one of those shows that educates people on topics that aren't always socially acceptable to discuss.

I spoke to a pre-med student in his sophomore year at University of Maryland who was an avid fan of ER his whole life. "Watching ER and Dr. Carter, I decided at a young age that I wanted to become a doctor and change - hopefully save lives," said Adam Porto. I am sure Porto is only one of many whose lives were affected by this show.

ER's two-hour season finale had a shocking cameo appearance by Alexis Bledel. This small town girl next door star from "Gilmore Girls" played the last new character on ER, Dr. Wise. As a personal fan of Bledel, I really enjoyed her as the last addition to one of television's first major medical dramas.

For all you ER fans out there who want to reminisce after seeing the end of an era - check out the Top 5 ER Moments on fancast.com. I remember each moment perfectly and it must have been hard to pick just 5 after so many years of GREAT moments.

And now, as hard as it is for me to say - Goodbye ER.

Desperate Housewife Electrocuted

It was known that one of the "Desperate Housewives" would be killed off this season.

However, I was not expecting it to be Edie and I was not expecting her to survive a choking and a car accident but then get electrocuted.

Talk about a streak of events of bad luck.

Maybe she survives the electrocution too - but I think it's unlikely.

So, I stumbled upon a personality quiz called 'Which Housewife are you?' and apparently I am Susan.

This quiz pegged me head on when it says, "You believe in living in the moment, from impulse to impulse. Some of those sudden whims make you the fun, spontaneous, creative person you are. But then again, you're often left explaining just how you jumped to the wrong conclusion, again. Sometimes planning is your friend. But on the other hand, why not leave that type of thing to the people who are good at it?"

That's surprisingly accurate for an online quiz.

Any other "Desperate Housewives" fan's should take this quiz and find out a little more about yourself. Let's just hope no one gets Edie as their answer, cause we all now know how her story ends.

The Bachelor's Ex-Fiance Melissa Rycroft and Playboy?

According to Star Magazine, Playboy might be in Melissa Rycroft's future.

The problem is - Melissa signed a contract for ABC's hit show "Dancing with the Stars".

The contract prohibits her from posing nude during the show and for the three months after it's finale.

By the time that rolls around, she very well could be yesterday's news of reality TV. I hope not - but by then we might be saying - Melissa who?

We will just have to wait and see if Melissa will be exposing her birthday suit.

Interview with Grey's Anatomy addict

I interviewed a fellow Grey's Anatomy addict, Steph Sanders ,the creator of the Facebook group - Greys Anatomy and Twilight Obsession. I wanted to interview this particular obsessed fan because she doesn't have Tivo but somehow has never missed an episode which is true commitment.

Do you get together with someone to watch every week?

Me and my mum watch it every week without fail, she's not as addicted to it as me, but she's "my person".

What are some of your other favorite shows?

Desperate Housewives, House and Crossing Jordan.

Mere and Dere together forever? What's your take on their relationship?

I think they will last, they seem to have this connection and bond which to me means they will last - have children and finally get married!!

Whose your favorite character (past or present) and why?

I really have two favorite characters. The first one is Callie - she is just like me he he and I can relate to her better than i can all the other characters and for some reason I would love just to be like her. The second one is Erica - my god she was awesome and Ballsy which I wasn't till I saw what it can do for you. I think I have just learned from these two - Really miss Erica though!

What is it about Grey's that you love so much? What is it that keeps you coming back for more?

I love the show and the stories that are in it. It's amazing and it captivates me. I also wish I could be like that one day as everything seems perfect and would be amazing if I could, and it focus's on problems that a lot of people go through and how to kinda say to yourself "wow, I can get through this".

Kyle XY Series Finale Leaves Us Hanging

I remember when "Kyle XY" began.

It premiered at the end of the June of 2006. "Kyle XY" had all the makings of a great show - innocence, discovery, childhood, combat, heartbreak, secrets, disappointment, betrayal, friendship, a complicated story line, drama, mystery, love, family, death, good vs. evil and of course a H-O-T main character.

HOT may be an understatement with Matt Dallas who played the main character - Kyle. With or without a belly button, this guy was red-hot and I would have loved to see all those clones of Kyle in the series finale. Can you say - dream come true.

There was nothing this show was missing so I knew it would be a hit. This is why I was so shocked to hear that ABC Family had decided to cancel the show with it's third season.

Fans were expecting a lot of answers that were not given with the series finale.

With so many unanswered questions, it seems to me like a cliffhanger ending might have been written when a fourth season was still expected.

I just can't believe the writers would chose to leave us hanging like that.

When you love a show and stay committed for three season's you expect the ending to do it justice. The series finale of "Kyle XY" unfortunately did not do the series justice and as a fan, I was very disappointed.

The Bachelor's Ex-Fiance's quick return to Reality Television

"Dancing with the Stars" has never really been able to keep my attention but this season's surprising cast has got me interested.

We all know how I feel about The Bachelor and what happened to Melissa Rycroft.

Along with the rest of America, I want nothing more than to see Melissa happy and she looks happy on the show.

When one door closes another one opens and for Melissa that door is "Dancing with the Stars".

I was so surprised to see her on another reality show so quick. It shows how strong she is. She isn't hiding from the public which I really admire.

I am not saying, because Melissa is on the show, I will watch religiously but as long as she's on the show, I will try and catch it as often as possible.

Being Pregnant in High School never looked so fun

The first season of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" is over.

When this show first started being advertised, I knew I would love it for so many reasons.

First of all, nothing with Molly Ringwald could ever be bad.

Second of all, the show was created by Brenda Hampton who also created "7th Heaven" - my favorite show growing up apart from "Full House".

Third of all, pregnant teen equals guaranteed D-R-A-M-A.

I love this show but I don't think it's all that realistic in some ways. It makes teenage pregnancy look like a good idea. In this society where kids are having sex younger and younger, this is not the example we want to set.

So I just want to clear a few things up for the naive teenagers who are watching this show thinking - that doesn't look so bad.

First of all, not everyone's parent's could afford to help their teenager raise a baby. Second of all, not everyone's teenage "first" boyfriend would stick with you while you have another guy's baby. And finally, when you are the pregnant teenager - your fellow High School students treat you more like Juno and less like a victim.

Beside these few flaws of reality, the show is pretty awesome.

For a show about a pregnant teenager, it is ironically innocent. I can't wait for the second season because now that Amy has decided to keep the baby, the decision's and drama have just begun.

The Next Bachelorette is . . .

The next Bachelorette is Jillian Harris, one of the three finalist on this past season of "The Bachelor" with Jason Mesnick.

With the dramatic ending of "The Bachelor", I was so blinded by my anger towards Jason, that I didn't talk about the announcement of the next season.

Jillian seemed like an obvious choice for the next Bachelorette. The only reason it's surprising is because they have always chosen the runner-up, not someone who didn't make it to the finale. Whatever their reason's are, it was a good choice.

The next season of "The Bachelorette" is coming sooner than I thought and I'm excited to watch this down-to-earth interior designer from Canada fall in love. Get ready because it premieres May 18 on ABC

Scandalous XoXo Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl - the number one source of the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite - is back with new and exciting scandals.

Could B and Nate be getting back together?

This weeks episode ended with Chuck finding Nate's jacket at B's house.

Uh oh Chuck - looks like your competitions back. But who will win this one? Maybe V will come out victorious.

In next week's episode it looks like Chuck and V will be getting together. But how far will V take it? Is it just about making Nate and B jealous or is there something really there? Hopefully the next episode will have some outcomes because I'm curious to see who winds up hurt in these twisted love triangles.

I think V might be the victim this time. It's weird how they portray V as the good girl but when you think about it, V is the only girl on the show to have kissed all three of the leading male roles. Maybe V isn't so innocent after all.

While I am loving the drama, I have to say, I miss S and Lonely Boy - maybe they'll rekindle now that the teachers out of the picture. Only time will tell.

XOXO,
M

Kara DioGuardi CAN'T Count

She has SIX words for us: "One of the best performances of the night"

After Adam Lambert sang on "American Idol" tonight, Kara DioGuardi made a statement that has got to be acknowledged immediately.

Okay everybody needs to take two quick seconds and count the words above with me.

I see one . . two . . four . . SIX . . uh oh . . 8 words. That's right, not six but EIGHT words - that is two more than six Kara.

Attention Kara : Learn how to count to ten before you speak on national television.

I just can't believe she said that. I rewound the show like five times, it was shockingly retarded. She can't even blame it on a blond moment - which believe it or not, totally works.

Sorry Kara, that's embarrassing. The only words of wisdom i got for you are - think before you speak.

Who doesn't love money? Frank loves money

Poor Frank - this week's victim of eviction on I Love Money 2.

I don't know about you, but I thought he really might win it this season.

It's normal to root for the underdog - so Frank is not the obvious fan favorite - but on this season, the underdogs are a bunch of wussies. Is there anyone in the world that likes Tailor Made - honestly the nicest way to put it is, he's a LOSER.

I found this interview of Frank "the entertainer" Maresca on vh1 blog. It was worth watching - they touch on topics like karma (which I strongly believe in).

In the clip, it was hilarious how he compared Prancer to Benedict Arnold. Really - who does that? That comment made him sound much smarter than the show portrayed him, but you got to be pretty dumb to still be stuck in your parents bedroom at 37-years-old. You can really hear the pain in his voice when he says he's still living in his parents basement.

He says in the interview that he "doesn't hate anybody not even Tailor Made" but I'm going to call his bluff on that one because they are the reason he still lives in his parents house. Thanks for the "entertainment" and better luck next time Frank.

Another great save by Tivo

Tivo saves the day again!

In case you were wondering, the absence on my blog was because of my spring break vacation. I had a great vacation but it was hard to be without my shows.

Television is an escape from your own reality - but so is vacation.

When you go on vacation, you get away from your everyday life which is exactly what you do when you watch television. Instead of getting away for an hour with Grey's Anatomy, I got away for a week to Miami. It was beautiful, but I missed my shows.

The character's on the shows become your friends - you know all their deepest secrets and they won't tell yours. I see my television "friends" more often than some of my best friends in life. When you are away from your friends you miss things and you need to catch up on what's going on in their lives.

I am Jewish so I've never experienced a Christmas morning but I imagine it feels something like coming home to a Tivo filled to it's maximum with all your favorite shows. Time to catch up with my friends that I missed so much.

your Big Brother's coming back

Big Brother never gets old. With another great season under the belt, they have begun casting calls for the next season.

I loved Keesha in season 10 but Big Brother 8 was by far my favorite season with Dick and Danielle.

I expect Big Brother 11 to be filled with the same drama, flirtation, manipulation and entertainment that each season has managed to deliver. Can't wait!

Cursing Comcast

I would love to be blogging about one of my favorite shows right now but instead my cable company - Comcast - has decided to mess up once again!

In my three years of being a loyal costumer of Comcast, I have experienced more problems then I can count. It's ridiculous how out of no where the cable can just stop working. Then when you call Comcast they try and trouble shoot it with you which just makes it even worse!

Then they try and schedule a meeting with you which never works on your schedule and has you sitting by the door for hours. Then you are lucky if they even show up on time or give you the "courtesy" phone call.

I am officially fed up with Comcast. I missed all my shows last night and I will be missing all my shows again tonight and Comcast is to blame.

Its official - Comcast is ruining my life!

Everybody scream it loud - I love TV and I am Proud

I was searching the web when I stumbled upon a quiz to determine if you are addicted to television.

I recommend everyone takes this quiz and is proud if the results say you're a television addict.

I just took it and it confirmed that I am a television addict - big surprise! The results page said I have some "serious addiction issues." Listen here buddy, the only one with any issues here is you.

I love television and I admit it. I do not have issues and just because someone likes television does not mean we are going to fall for every infomercial type website thrown at us.

I am here to tell all you televisions addicts out there - it is okay! You do not have a problem and being addicted to television is NOT bad thing. For everyone out there who wants to help us poor television addicts, all we have to say is - Thank you very much but NO thank you.

Fabulous 'Beer Pong' Molly vs. Sweet, Sincere 'Cheerleader' Melissa

I interviewed a fellow television addict, Sara McIntosh, the creator of "The Bachelor" Facebook group.
The popular group currently has almost 400 members. As an obsessed fan, whose never missed an episode, and with this season's shocking ending, she was not shy about her opinion of the distasteful conclusion.

When did you start "The Bachelor" group and why?
I started this group like right before the season premiere this season (with
Jason). I started it because I know there was a small group of us that would
like to gossip about what happened. The group started out with just my
mother-in-law and me, then a few of our friends and family joined, and now
there's over 100 people! I couldn't believe that!

Whose your favorite girl this season and favorite Bachelor/Bachelorette (past or present) and why?
I loved Stephanie! I think any man would be lucky to have her. Stephanie and
Melissa were my favorites from the start. As far as Bachelor/Bachelorette, I'd
have to say Jason is my favorite. It must be a 'parental' thing - I love seeing
him with Ty and its the first time I felt the Bachelor/Bachelorette was really a
genuine person.

Do you think the show is scripted at all? Do you think they manipulate the viewers by what they show us?
Umm... sometimes I actually do think it is scripted. I don't think a lot of it
is like 'word for word' scripted, but I think that they might tell them what to
do/talk about to make for good TV. Sometimes manipulation can go on such as
trying to make us think one thing, when it's actually something else. Not
necessarily a bad thing though.

Have you heard about this seasons conspiracy theory? If so, how do you feel about it and do you believe it?
If what you mean by the "conspiracy theory" is that he proposes to Melissa,
breaks up, then goes to Molly, I do kind of believe it. It seems like something
is up anyways since there is supposedly a dramatic, intimate ending previewed.
If it is really true - I will NOT be happy! I just really don't care for Molly
and would be upset if he ended up with her :-)

Your opinions on the finale and after the final rose episode?
I can't believe Jason's choice. I wish the show would have ended at 9:00 -
it was perfect! I can't believe he dumped her on TV - I was totally behind
Melissa all the way last night! Every point she had made perfect sense, you
don't just get up and leave every time something feels 'a little different.'
Everyone would be broken up and divorced if that was the case!

He already said goodbye to Molly and he wasn't willing to fight for
Melissa's relationship. Melissa made sense and Jason on the other hand was all
in lala land about "oh i wish i had control over my heart and head' which in my
opinion sounds like crap to me. I don't think Molly is the right choice - I
can't believe he'd want fabulous 'beer pong' Molly over sweet, sincere Melissa.
Molly never even seemed like she was there for the right reasons - it was always
"I want to be here!" as if it was just a competition vs Melissa "I am in love
with you and want to spend my life with you." I feel so bad for Melissa! She
should be the Bachelorette! I am kind of disappointed - I am not sure if I will
be watching future episodes.

You know what really Grinds my Gears . . .

We all know what grinds Peter Griffins gears and now you are all about the hear what really Grinds MY Gears?

1. When Jason Mesnick (The Bachelor) is crying after choosing to break up with Melissa. I don't understand - why are you crying? You made that decision and if you knew deep down in your heart that it was the right decision for you than you wouldn't be crying! Grr.

2. The possibility that the ABC network was behind this whole crazy ending.

3. That a guy (Jason Mesnick) can say "I love you, I want to spend my life with you, I want to make you happy" and then take it all back only WEEKS later. How can you say goodbye to someone that you said all those things to?

4. The fact that Jason didn't even try and talk to her and work through things with her. The second he started having doubts, how could he not talk to her about it and fight and see what they can do to fix it. Just because things are a little different, how could he not want to try if he really loves her and really cared that much about her?

5. That because of my uncontrollable curiosity and Reality Steve, I was NOT in complete shock when I watched the finale of "The Bachelor".

6. The crowd at the "After the Final Rose - Part 2" was cheering when Jason walked in. I just wanted to scream BOOO!!!

7. and finally, that after watching this all go down - I can't even personally give Mr. Mesnick a piece of my mind. There are a lot of things I would like to say to Jason, starting with SHAME ON YOU! So Jason, if you are ever in the mood to hear a fan and outsiders view - you can always find me here.

Less Idle - More Idol

Has anyone else heard about DialIdol.com?

I stumbled upon it today when researching one of my favorite television shows - "American Idol". It is kind of a spoiler site but not unless it is accurate. They name the contestants in order of who got the most votes - before the results are revealed.

I am very curious if this site is at all precise. Tonight they will air the results and we shall see how accurate this site really is. If Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta and either Matt Giraud or Jesse Langseth are the top 3 tonight, then this site will save me a night of wondering each week.

Lets hope this site is legit because waiting from Wednesday night to Thursday night to find out the results is pretty ruff.

The Survivor Diet

Women of the world - stop counting calories - I have discovered the ultimate diet!

I have watched a few seasons of "Survivor" and I have come to the conclusion that every season the cast members do not only get cast off one by one but they physically whither away. I don't know why anyone bothers with Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig anymore.

My advice to all you women out there who hate diets - apply for the next season of "Survivor".

I'm not saying that you need to be as skinny as the girl in the picture - but when that girl got back to the states, I'm sure she was able to eat a pound of brownies and still be as skinny as a twig.

Bachelor Spoiler Alert or False Speculation? We shall see . . .

So, the big question on my mind right now is, can I trust that Reality Steve is speaking the truth or does he have my panties in a bunch for nothing?

First of all Reality Steve is a guy who claims to have a lot of connections with people behind the scenes of our favorite reality television shows, including "The Bachelor". He recently posted three videos of himself where he tells his viewers the juiciest spoiler I've heard in a long time.

*STOP reading now and continue after you finish watching this season of "The Bachelor" if you don't want to know the possible reality of the outcome*

Now that you've been fairly warned, if you chose to continue, it is at your own risk.

Reality Steve tells us, in his videos under his post titled "The Truth", that Jason and Melissa get engaged on the Finale but Jason shockingly breaks up with Melissa on live television when everyone comes back for the "After the Final Rose" show and then gets back together with Molly, the girl he supposedly dumps on the Finale. Okay, take a breath, I know that was a lot to swallow but that's not even the biggest shocker.

Okay, are you ready? Our Jason, the single father we all know and love, the "good" guy was approached by the producers with this plan and agreed to go along with it and knowingly hurt and humiliated Melissa. Now, this may not be true, but this is all according to Reality Steve.

I want to believe as much as you do that Jason wouldn't do this, he wouldn't be that cruel and cold-hearted to a sweet and innocent girl, Melissa. But, how well do we know Jason? We only know what the producers chose to show us. This is a sad truth but at this point, I don't know what to believe.

All I can say is, if the producers really played this inhumane trick on Melissa, they better be making her the next Bachelorette! Now let's all watch the Finale and the "After the Final Rose" and then we'll all see about Reality Steve's theory. While we wait these long dreaded two weeks, let me know what you think about Reality Steve's theories and if you have any of your own.

TAA: Television Addicts Anonymous

Everyone knows about AAA for alcoholics but have you ever heard of such an organization for television?

Well I haven't, so I wanted to see if it existed and this is what I found. According to Wikipedia,  television addiction exists. Who would've thunk it?

Wikipedia's definition for television addiction is "a disorder where the subject has a compulsion to watch television." Ha! a disorder?! I speak for all television addicts across the world when i say my obsession with my shows is not a disorder which Wikipedia defines as a "functional abnormality or disturbance."

I like television. I like my shows. I admit I have an addiction but I do not view it as a problem. Some people choose to read books, I choose to watch television - what is so bad about that?

I was very disturbed when I found a Twelve-Step Program for TV Addicts. First of all, they refer to television as the "plug-in drug" - are they kidding?

This site is like the TAA: Television Addicts Anonymous for help against the "plug=in drug" ha! Second of all, their first step is to throw the television out. To me, that's like throwing a bible out - why would someone do that?

I know I can live without television but it's not hurting me so why would I want to? Maybe one day I'll be a member of that 12-step program but as for now- me and my television are going to live happily ever after.

LOST in Maryland with Locke

Little old me was sitting in Miss Shirley's Cafe on Cold Spring Lane the other day enjoying the best breakfast I've found in Baltimore thus far, when all of the sudden Terry O'Quinn also known as John Locke from "Lost" strolls on in.

Yes I mean the John Locke who recently died to save the island. Of course I tried to talk to him or at least get an autograph but he was not having it.

I was really surprised by how different he looks in person. The show makes him appear to be a lot older and less buff which does not do him justice.

A reliable source of mine tells me he is a frequent customer there. I can personally say I will be going there all the time now, not only to eat some great food but also hoping to run into him again.

I wanted to fill you all in so all of my fellow "Lost" obsessors out there know a spot where there's a great possibility of running into the man in the wheel chair who magically walked when oceanic flight 815 crashed on the island.

From Broken Heart to Bachelor

A few season's ago, the producers of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" decided to add a little twist.

They decided to link the season's by making the runner up/broken hearted victim of the season before, the new bachelor/bachelorette of the next season. I think whoever made that decision is a genius!

This season's Bachelor is Jason Mesnick, the runner up for the heart of last season's Bachelorette Deanna Pappas. America falls in love with the people putting their hearts and souls on the line publicly. America, including myself, fell in love with this single father throughout the last season and felt his pain when Deanna broke his heart.

I admit that I am a hopeless romantic, but every season I really believe the relationship formed is going to last, and out of the numerous season's I've watched only ONE has lasted - very discouraging odds. But I must say, once again I believe this season's love match is going to last!

In two weeks there will be a season finally in which I'm going to predict Melissa (my pick from the first episode - not trying to brag) will win Jason's heart.

This week's episode however I did not see coming. I had predicted Jillian and Melissa (former Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader) to be the final two this season - and let me tell you, I'm a master at predicting television shows and movies! But when Jillian got eliminated I was in shock. Jillian was serious competition for Melissa and with her gone, I now believe there's no chance Melissa's going to loss.

I don't think America has fallen in love with Molly (at least I haven't) so I'm thinking this show is going to have a fresh face as the next Bachelor/Bachelorette. If the impossible happens and Molly somehow wins Jason's heart, there's no doubt the world has fallen in love with Melissa and she will totally be the next Bachelorette. However the show might take a new twist because the world did fall in love with two girls this season, poor Molly's just not one of them. There is talk about Jillian possibly being the next Bachelorette. I don't know about you, but I'd watch it!

Oh and I haven't even mentioned the biggest drama we are all waiting for, the previews make it seem as though Deanna comes back into Jason's life next week to ask him to take another chance on her. I believe Jason has moved on but there's only one way to find out, stay tuned to my blog and I'll let you know who gets that final rose.

Making the Band or Breaking the Band?

Last night, the third season of "Making the Band 4" premiered. Fans of the bands and this show have been anticipating this premiere ever since the dramatic and shocking end to the last season.

The question on everybody's mind is 'What's going to happen to Danity Kane?'

Unfortunately, last nights episode left us with more questions than answers. As a devoted fan I must believe that they will work things out, but it's not looking promising for these divas.

One Young Mother, One Welder, One widow, One Ex-con, Four wacky judges and a Partridge in a pear tree

"American Idol" has graced us with it's presence once again. Every year the competition seems to get stiffer and this year is no different. Season 8 kicked off with more talent than ever before. Last night on "American Idol", the four judges (including the newest, Kara DioGuardi) narrowed it down to 36 contestants, letting go some truly talented people.

There are many reasons this show it so great, one being the emotional attachment we (the viewers) develop with the contestants. Last night one of my favorite girls got kicked off, Frankie. I was upset to say the least but I am hoping to see her next season.

Another great thing about this show is how it gives opportunities to people who otherwise would probably never have that door opened. There are many people in this season's top 36 who are great examples of that. From young mother's to welder's, this season has it all. And I mean, has it all - including one ex-con. Careful what you say to this one Simon.

With tremendous talent and inspirational stories, I don't know how this season will turn out but the one thing we do know is, it will create a star!

Cannot Vivo without Tivo

This is my dedication to my favorite invention - Tivo. For those of you who don't know, the device was created by TiVo, Inc., a company started by veterans of Silicon Graphics and Time Warner's Full Service Network digital video system. The founders were Mike Ramsay and Jim Barton. For all the television addicts out there, lets take a moment and thank God, Mike Ramsay and Jim Barton for Tivo.

What did we do before Tivo? Unfortunately, I remember. We taped our shows with those lovely VHS tapes and if you only had one recorder, you could only tape one show. With our busy lives and busy schedules, it is hard to stay committed to the numerous shows we are obsessed with. Tivo makes it possible.

All those annoying commercials that make us wait to see what happens next on our shows. Tivo made sure we don't have to suffer through those agonizing few minutes anymore. Tivo recently evaluated the ratings of commercials and thanks to them its not looking good for those advertisers. With the invention of Tivo, every advertisement is susceptible to fast forwarding. It is a rare occasion that I actually stop on a commercial when I am fast forwarding. The only times I do stop are when something seriously catches my eye (which takes a lot) and when they are advertising the season premiere of one of my many shows.

When it comes down to it, the world, or at least my world is a better place because of Tivo.

Introduction

Hello! My name is Melissa and I am addicted to television (i admit it!) I've heard that's the first step. Any way, this blog is dedicated to all my longest relationships, also known as my favorite television shows. Just like any relationship - there is drama, laughter, tears, reality and it takes a whole lot of commitment.

Some people read books - I watch television and honestly, my shows have taught me a lot over the years. It all started when I was six years old with "Full House". Oh my, I was obsessed the first time I watched it, you might call it love at first sight. So that's where my addiction began but like any addiction it's hard to kick - and so far I haven't been able to detox nor have I wanted to.

In this blog I hope to meet other television show addicts. I will talk thoroughly about all my favorite shows so you can get to know why I love all my boyfriends and girlfriends (apparently making me a television bi-sexual cheater) and why it is so hard for me to let any of them go.
